Project Overview
D Hall Plant Hire & Groundworks completed comprehensive groundworks for a double garage self-build project in Harrowbarrow, just outside Callington, Cornwall. This project was undertaken following a free site visit and quote based on the architect's and structural engineer's detailed specifications, with the homeowner proceeding to building phase using Nudura Construction.
The scope of work included setting out the excavation per architect and structural engineer specifications, foundation excavation and utility preparation, electric and drainage ducting installation, importing Type 1 stone for the sub-base, placing H10 starter bars and reinforcing mesh, and pouring the C35 concrete slab.
A key feature of this project was the strategic reuse of excavated material on-site, helping to reduce costs for the self-build client while minimizing waste. The groundworks were completed to exact specifications, ensuring a perfect foundation for the subsequent Nudura Construction phase.
