Project Overview
D Hall Plant Hire & Groundworks completed a comprehensive groundworks package for Danwood Homes at Harlyn Bay, Padstow, one of Cornwall's most sought-after coastal locations. This project was designed by Webber Architecture and required exceptional precision to accommodate a prefabricated modular home being transported from Poland.
The groundworks package included all works up to damp-proof course (DPC) level, including site setting out and survey work, foundation excavation and concrete placement, blockwork to DPC level, installation of radon sumps, complete drainage infrastructure, underground service installation, and a 150mm C35 concrete slab with reinforcing mesh.
This project required maintaining precision tolerances of approximately 10mm throughout the construction to ensure the prefabricated dwelling would arrive and install without complications. The exacting standards and attention to detail ensured seamless integration of the modular home upon delivery.
