D Hall Plant Hire & Groundworks completed professional drainage installation for a new connection in Liskeard, Cornwall. This project involved careful excavation through tarmac surfaces, installation of new drainage pipework and manhole chambers, and complete reinstatement of all surfaces.
Project Overview
This drainage project required a new connection from the property to the existing main sewer. The work needed to be completed with minimal disruption, requiring careful planning and efficient execution. We used a micro digger for precision excavation in the confined spaces.
Trench Excavation
The project began with cutting through the existing tarmac driveway and carefully excavating a trench to the required depth and gradient for proper drainage flow. Our micro digger allowed us to work efficiently in the restricted access areas while maintaining precision.

Pipework and Manhole Installation
Once the trench was excavated to the correct depth and gradient, we installed the drainage pipework using 110mm UPVC pipes. A new manhole chamber was constructed to Building Regulations standards, providing access for future maintenance. The pipework was carefully laid on a prepared bed and properly jointed to ensure a watertight system.

The new drainage run was carefully connected into the existing manhole chamber. This work required precision to ensure the correct angle and height for proper flow, while maintaining the integrity of the existing drainage system.
Surface Reinstatement
After the drainage installation was complete and tested, we reinstated all surfaces to match the existing finishes. The crazy paving was carefully replaced, and the tarmac areas were properly reinstated, ensuring a neat, professional finish that blended seamlessly with the surrounding surfaces.
